* Quick note: I fell asleep at 8pm in our comfy egg chair last night, so I didn't have time to post these. It is a really comfy chair!
- Alexa-enabled shower radio.
- Building on that last one, why not build waterproof, rechargeable speakers you can install around your shower to sync to an Amazon Echo, Home Pod, or Google Home? I would love to jam in the shower!
- I would love to see homes being built here in the US to have the shower/bath combo like in Japan. In my studio apartment in Akita, I had a separate bath room that had a small area to sit on a stool, lather up, and shower. Right next to that area is a bathtub that was deep enough to come to my chin, and had a water circulator to keep the temperature at a constant heat. It was bliss!
- Japanese-style toilets. Not just the built-in bidets, but in my studio apartment the toilet also had a heated seat (amazing in winter) and on the back, it had a mini-sink that drained into the toilet tank for you to wash your hands right there. No dirty hands touching doorknobs.
- Pre-built "Magic Mirror" devices. There is an amazing group of makers online that use a television behind a one-way mirror, and a Rasbperry Pi, to display custom-coded information. Weather updates, schedule, news, RSS feeds, email, whatever you want. If you could pre-fab these where you have a simple UI to log in and design your own, it would be fantastic.
